Valley of Fire

Saturday we all went hiking at Valley of Fire. It was a great day. I can't believe how hot it gets here and its not even summer yet.

Here are all the hikers: Kevin, Me, Kaden, Breeona, Garrett, Dad, and Aaron.
We didn't follow a real trail, we just started... lol
I had a lot of fun, and more importantly the kids had a ton of fun. I was excited that Kevin came because for Christmas I got him a camelbak and he hasn't used it yet. It was the first time that we went hiking together.

Breeona was the smallest one of us, but man is she a trooper. She loves being outside. She is a great little climber. Look at her up here on this rock. You cant really tell from the picture but this is really really high up. Kevin and I climbed up a little higher and took this picture. Once she starts getting some confidence she thinks she can climb anywhere, which scares me some. The fun part about not having a trail is that you can climb anywhere. The bad part is that my dad loves to stop and look at everything. Really everything, Oh look at that cool rock, Oh smell that plant, Oh guys look at that. AAAAHHHH I don't mind this to an extent, but once I get hot and tired I want to start moving and not stop untill we get back to the car.

Well, even though I complain about my dad stopping to look at everything, I am like that too. We had almost make it back to the car and we walked across a bed of rocks and my dad found an arrow head. So that made me stop and start looking and looking and looking All of the Hagels were. I found some petrified rock and the boys and B were looking and finding "cool" rocks. Poor Kevin, I think he thinks we are nuts. He just stood there looking at us....looking for rocks.
