Jaxon Bronco

Well, he's here!

My due date is tomorrow, but my doc gave me the option to be induced a week early and I really debated if I should or just wait it out. I asked everybody I knew what they thought then talked with Kevin and we decided to go for it. After that I felt really good about our decision.

We went in Wednesday the third and started the "process" with cervidil. During the night I started to have some easy contractions, which was good. The morning of the fourth my mom came and the nurses started me on pitocin. I had some awesome nurses. I had contractions all day and they really weren't too bad. This labor was very different than Breeona's. The only bad thing was that I was stuck at at 3 for all that time.....The nurse broke my water and a bit after that my contractions really started hitting hard. The nurse told me that I could get an epidural at any time. I waited it out for a while because up to that point my labor had been real easy and for whatever reason I didn't want to rob myself of some of the experience. I was still at a 3.

So after a bit I did get my epidural and Kevin later said this was the most nerve wracking time. The time right before and while I was getting it was pretty intense. My awesome nurse was checking on me every half hour and then all of a sudden I didn't see her for a long time.... She was coming and helping me turn from side to side and now she was gone... Later we found out that she was called to a c-section...I was on one side for two hours and getting really mentally frustrated. One nurse came to check on me after like 2 hours and, lets just say that I am glad that I didn't get her the whole time, she helped me turn and she did a crappy job, I was uncomfortable and she was making me more nervous with how she was answering my questions... Just after that my nurse came back and she fixed me all up and made me feel better. A few min after that I told her that things were feeling very different and so she checked my progress. I was really nervous for this because all day I was at a 3 and in the last two hours my contractions had slowed down because nobody was checking them so I was thinking that I would be at a three still.... Nope! I was at an 8! I was relieved. It was about 7pm, and that is when the nurses change shifts so we waited for the new nurse and she was the same night nurse that I had had the night before, she was great too. I was happy to have her back. It was funny because she came in and I asked her if she had called the Dr. yet and she said no, we wait to call the Dr. until it is time. So she checked me and turned right around and said, "I'm going to call the Dr. now."
