Remembering Jelly Beans

Earler today Kevin headed up to the UT with his brother to go to the BYU game tommorrow. SO, that left Breeona, Jaxon, and I home alone. :) We spent the afternoon on the computer and watching tv, just takin it easy. I wanted to do something fun and I have had a hankerin for a cupcake, so I looked up the nearest cupcake place and got Jax out of bed and went. Kevin took my car so we had his truck. I really don't like driving his truck. I feel so out of whack in it, also I can't park it. We got our cupcakes and headed home. I was driving home in the dark. Breeona was taking bites of my cupcakes and I was trying hers. I was fumbling with Kevin's huge truck and I think Breeona was having a great time. The backseat was full of crumbs.

As I was driving him home I had a flash back to when I was young and in the passengers seat. My mom was driving. It was dark and we were headed home after a long day of shopping in the 'city'. We would do this trip about once a month and almost every time we would get some sort of treat for on the way home. Often it would be jelly beans. I would turn on the light and see the color, figure out what flavor it was and hand it to my mom who would try to guess the flavor.
I often wonder what kind of memories Breeona will have looking back. I can't give her all day shopping trips, a huge yard, or big garden. I need to give her more of my time.

Old memories make the best blog posts! I love jelly beans. We had jelly bellys in the little cups at our wedding instead of nuts or mints!
