Drive to Washington (part 1)

Spring Break!

This year Breeona is on year-round school. She goes to school for about 9 weeks and then has 4 weeks off all year long. So this year for the whole month of April she has a break of school! We decided to go to Washington State to visit my parents. We haven't seen them for a few months and were so excited to see them. Kevin couldn't take off any work at the time so it was just me and the kiddos.

Driving.- Vegas to WA.- 18 + hours. -All me.- Two kids.

crazy? maybe.

When Kevin and I drive it together in the summer we do it in two days one night. Well no way I could do that! This was my plan:

Day 1- Vegas to Salt Lake City (approx 6 1/2 hr)

Day 2- Salt Lake City to Boise, ID (approx 6 hr)

Day 3- Boise to Lake House (approx 7 1/2 hr)

We made it to Salt Lake!

This is Jaxon at about 1am of day 1 (start of day 2) He finally passed out on the floor. We stayed at Kevin's awesome cousins house. Thanks Trent and Casandra!

Day 2:

We woke up early and hit McDonald's then the road for a trip to Boise. I knew we would get to Boise and have some time to hang out and maybe go to the park or something. We made really good time and got to Boise by 12! The kiddos were doing awesome!

Boise was super windy and a bit rainy so we kept going. All the way to Yakima! My grandma and uncle and some cousins live there so we visited them. A 6 hour drive turned into an 11 hour drive! wow that was a LONG day. We all were very glad to get out of the car. Jax started crying about 3 hours away from Yakima and really didn't stop. Breeona gave him an open water bottle to keep him quiet. It worked for a while.

Day 3:

The great thing about driving so far is the next day was only 3 hr! So after a yummy breakfast and chatting with family for a while we were on our way to the Lake!
