Cmas Flashback

I just uploaded pictures from my little green camera and HELLO! I still have pictures from Christmas on there!! So here is the run down-

PART 1: Ward Christmas party- At the time I was in charge of the ward Christmas party and was going a little crazy in the kitchen and trying to make sure everything was running smoothly. Needless to say we don't have very many pictures from that night- (note to self: ask Steph Webb if she has those pictures of Breeona dancing and can email me them). Now I love my husband a ton and he has a lot of very useful talents (see below) apparently taking pictures is not one of them- I don't know why but whenever I check out the pictures he has taken they are always blurry. It's a point and shoot camera Hun. who know it was THAT hard- I digress-
The party was super fun and Breeona and her girl friends did a little dance that was super cute! Santa came and the kiddos sat on his lap. Breeona first then Jax with her- It was Jaxon's first 'santa' experience. He did just fine. His face is more like 'woah those are red pants' than real worried about Santa.

little pict of miss B- (cute and in focus)
The only in focus one of both the kiddos-
Out of focus but the only one where both are looking upward and Jax looks like a hillbilly with his belly button hanging out.

PART 2: Christmas Tree Meltdown. I love-adore-get teary eyed- for our Christmas tree. She is a beauty and I love her even more because she was a gift from my parents the year they moved. (aka free!) We would still be using our 'treeo' of tiny trees if it wasn't for my parents. She is tall, I have to stand on a step stool to get to the top and she is PRE-LIT! The first year I set her up I learned real quick that you need long sleeves to set her up or you look like you got in a scratching fight and she won.
Well we set her up this year and I got her all decorated for the season. Then Jax met Miss Cmas Tree- and I redecorated her from about two feet down. Every day I would walk into my living room and  it was like a mini tornado had hit her again. By the end of the first week I had pretty much given up and had just started tossing the snowflakes and ornaments back on her.
That is not the only thing Jaxon found fun about the tree:
Miss cmas tree has a plug that you just leave in and a little stepper thing that turn on and off the lights (love her). One day I step on her button and no twinkle, what the??  I turn and see my tornado has struck another part of the house and I forget for a few days. When I remember I try her again and nothing- hummmm maybe she's unplugged- I go for a looksee and WHAT!?!? My outlet is blackened and the plug is MELTED. yeah I said melted.. ugh, my heart sank- My pretty tree is dead! Shes never going to work again, and if she does her stepon stepoff button will never work!! Also, did my house almost just catch on fire????!!
We discovered what happened: Jaxon thought it was real cool to try to kick the plug out of the wall, my guess is that during one of those kicks he shorted out one of the fuses and she melted a bit.

I called K the electrician-aka my hubbers- right away and when he came home from work he got back there to take a look and he FIXED HER. I was amazed-impressed-grateful. I'm so glad he has the skills he has or we would be up a creek-I guess our family will just have one picture taker (as long as we keep the cmas tree saver)
