We were egged!

Easter was super fun this year! After church we went to grandma and grandpa gunderson's house for our easter egg hunt. I got all our plastic eggs out and bought a couple bags of candy. My first mistake I made was that I went to the store hungry. Really how much candy does one little girl need? Like one bag? If that? WELL, I bought three… So that led to my next mistake- I use all the candy and filled every plastic egg we had. Then we painted eggs. We had more eggs than could fit in Ona’s basket. Wowzers it was a ton of eggs! Then we went to grandma and grandpa’s and they had candy and eggs too…

Kevin and I hid the eggs. We ran out of places to hid eggs. We just ended up rolling the last ones on the grass… Breeona is so big now, I sometimes forget she is still just five. I hid some eggs pretty hard, so hard that I had a hard time remembering where they were, and Kevin, Auntie Kelsi and I had to get out there and help. Breeona had such a great time! Breeona is getting older, the proof is in the conversation she started with me earlier on Easter Sunday, it went a little like this:

Breeona: "Why did you trick me?"

Me: "What do you mean?"

B: "I don't like you hiding stuff."

Me: "What?"

B: " Is the Easter Bunny real?"

Me: "no."

B: "Do you and dad hide eggs?"

Me: "Yeah."

B: "Why did you trick me?"

Then we had to explain all about how surprises make things funner and we just pretend about the easter bunny to make it funner. We also talked about how we can't tell about the easter bunny so we don't ruin it for other kids. During the egg hunt she kept looking at me and Kevin like we were sharing a secret...
