Floyd Lamb State Park

Breeona's Second grade class went on a field trip to Floyd Lamb State Park. I was so excited because I got to go too! This is the first time I had the chance to go on a field trip with Breeona. When she was in Kindergarten I was teaching and last year there was so many parents that wanted to go they had to have a drawing! Crazy. Anyway, I left Jax with a friend and went. I didn't get to go on the bus because they squeezed in a bunch of second graders so all the parents had to follow the bus. I had never been there before and it is like right up the street! This was my "group". They were so fun and easy. I mean only four girls! Breeona got to pick the group so she picked all her friends.
I couldn't believe how many animals were there!
Goats:

Horses:
Peacocks: These guys were my favorite cause they were everywhere and i mean how often do you see peacocks. I have heard they are mean, but these guys never bothered us. Oh and they scream like they are being chased down with a hatchet.

There are some old buildings there. It used to be privately owned and people from all over the country would come to stay and get a divorce NV, the state with the most relaxed divorced laws at the time. People would stay in the rooms and ride horses, fish, and play in the pool.... lol
Ducks:
Each class got to fish and it was fun. Breeona was bummed out because she didn't catch any fish. Some of her classmates did though. You can go fish there, I think you can even rent a pole. There are like three or four small "lakes"

Geese:
B playing duck, duck, goose
